Vintage Case Xx Canoe Pocket Knife 1970S 1DotOffered for your consideration is an outstanding vintage case xx. Thsi is a 1-dot from 1979. I purchased this knife new in 1979 and only used it a few times (likely to skin a few muskrats during my youth trapping days). The blades have been just very lightly sharpened and are about as full as you can get with a light sharpening. They are free of any corrosion or pitting and theer are no grind marks or scratches with just a bit of carbon spotting. The knife has never been cleaned or buffed and would benefit from a light cleaning and oiling. The blades have strong snap and the blade etch is strong and bold.
The jigged bone scales are absolutely gorgeous and free of any cracks or chips. The bolsters have just a bit of tarnish and scuffing, but are free of any dings or dents. The knife measues 3-5/8 closed. A fine old canoe!
