This knife for auction is the fine 2005 issue, case brothers genuine bone toothpick, 1st run xx variation, 3 closed. The scales are the splendid looking case walnut genuine bone with the old style case coat of arms shield. The rear side featurse the case 1st run xx engraving. Only 500 were issued of these, a pre release to the standard issue acse brothers toothpick. The case brothers uctlery company was actually the very first brand to carry the case name.Jean, john, andrew, and w. R. Case founded the case brothers cutlery company in february of 1900 in little valley, ny. It remained in operation until destroyed by fire in february of 1912.
